Birdathon Results: Clay's Pigeons reclaim the top spot in this year's Birdathon. The team of Clay Hardy, Jerry Smith, John Wyatt, and Jim Hind scored 125 species in a single day, beating The Cardinal Sins by 4. Thanks to all who contributed and participated this year.

Program Changes: For as long as anyone can remember, the Penobscot Valley Chapter has offered a free program on the first Friday of each month. Several things have convinced the chapter’s board of directors that it is time for a change. The board has decided that beginning this autumn, some of the chapter programs will take place on weeknights and at other locations. We hope this gives more members more opportunities to enjoy programs closer to home and at more convenient times.  A schedule of fall programs with new times and locations will appear in the next newsletter. In the meantime, we would love to hear from Audubon members about this new outreach initiative. If you have ideas about where and when we should offer our free programs, or if you have suggestions for program topics, please contact Bob Duchesne at duchesne@midmaine.com. Likewise, if you disapprove of this change and prefer that programs remain on Friday nights at Fields Pond, we’d certainly like to hear about that, too!
