Board Orientation Information

In 2003, the Penobscot Valley Chapter of Maine Audubon developed a packet of information that is immediately available to all prospective members of its Board of Directors. It was also agreed to make this information available to all members through the PVCAudubon web site so that interested members could learn more about how their own chapter works, how it relates to the statewide Maine Audubon organization, and how better to become involved.  The information includes the mission statements of Maine Audubon and its Penobscot Valley Chapter, information about current board members, the expected responsibilities of board members, anticipated meetings dates and times, a copy of the by-laws, the current committee structure, a history of the chapter, a description of the chapter's association with the Fields Pond Audubon Center, Newsletter, and this web site, a directory of other Maine Audubon Chapters, an overview of Maine Audubon Environmental Centers, an overview of conservation at Maine Audubon, and information about the current Maine Audubon Board of Trustees.
